Well , it took my dealer longer than it should have to get my new Frontier PHD200 Post Hole Digger to me. He had it at the dealership for 2 months before he finally got it over here after I put the pressure on him to get it here NOW!

I am happy with the looks of it but won't put any serious use on it till next season. We just bought a real nice place with 80 acres so I will definitely be replacing some posts there and will get some serious hours on my tractor.

I got 10 hours on my tractor so far and am very happy with it so far . Makes my work a lot easier and works great for what I need it for. I feel good about making the decision to go with the 3038e over the 3032e. the turbo engine will be good for running the PHD. The PHD is brand new and was a little over $800.00 at my dealership.

Anyway , here are some pics to share with you guys , Enjoy!

That looks like a nice unit - both the new tractor and the PHD. Have fun drilling.

Reminds me of when I was very about 6 or 7, Dad got a PHD for the old Ford 8N. When he wasn't watching, I took it out to see how it worked. As it turned out I picked a soft spot and managed to bury the auger right down to the drive head. The 8N didn't have enough to pull it up and Dad had to dig it out by hand. He was not happy.

Never tried that stunt again.

LOL , well at least he got some exercise that day ! :D I am planning to add more implements after we get our new property going . I am planning to get a box blade , manure spreader , turf renovator , mower deck and rototiller. Never too many implements as we all know. Will add em one by one as needed and I'm sure there will be others needed later. Sure nice to finally have a tractor. Thanks for your comments CinderSchnauzer.
My new neighbor will be doing the haying on our place on shares but later on down the line I may just move up to a bigger tractor and get my own haying implements and do it all myself. But as of now I am happy with what I have , a good basic tractor that will get most my work done in a timely manner and save my back. I hand dug over 650 post holes on the current property and my back and shoulders have had enough of that. :( Can't wait till next season when I will really put some hours on new baby beast.

Nice rig.
I like the country side view. Where abouts is your ranch?

Our new place is about 27 miles west of Great Falls, MT. The place you see in the pics is outside of Townsend, MT. Its a nice place but we needed more acreage so we had get the other place. We will be selling this place in a little over a year. It's only a little over 8 acres but would be real nice for someone with a couple of horses. We have too many horses for this place and we got tired of hay feeding all the time so we now have the new place with good pasture land and a hay field so we can harvest enough to feed through winter or most of the winter. It will make the horses happier and will be a lot easier on the pocketbook. We are pretty excited about our new place , that's for sure. We will miss this this place but will be more satisfied with the new one.

Yeah....welll it's too bad you have all those mountains in the way...cluttering up your vew.:laughing: I love the west ....nice spot!

Sounds like a good PH digger too. And from your description and the look of your land...you got holes to dig.

We know you probably have but gonna say it anyway, check your gearbox oil (80/90) if you haven't already done so in that PHD.

Thanks bullbreaker , actually I never checked gearbox oil in the PHD. I will get on that one right away . I take it that they must sometimes come without the right amount in them . Never thought about checking it as it is new but will be doing it before I use it again . Thanks again , you may have saved me from a problem down the road .
