LS R4041H
Brought her home yesterday in the poring rain. Dealer was quite patient with me going over everything again and showing me how to attach the bush hog. Used the FEL to put the tiller on the trailer ( kept BH on the tractor). All of this while it was pouring. Looks like a nice day today. It was there dealers demo so it has 125hrs on it so things have been gone over pretty well. He told me that it was one of the best ones he has had there. I plan on making a new entry point into my pasture since I don't want to drive over my new septic system. Easy work but will give me some seat time and control practice without worrying about smashing anything.

I did learn a couple things unloading and putting it in the barn. With the FEL and the bush hog on, it is looooong! Have to pay close attention to everything. And the ROPs makes it tall, but I didn't hit anything and it fits in the barn.

I also need to do 2 things (at least I think I should). Check the slip clutch on the bush hog, since it has been sitting for 8 months. It is new but has been in the weather. Also, the tiller is still in the crate so I am not sure it the gearboxes have lube in them.

See!!! I did read the manuals (nothing else to do while it rained).
I will post pictures.

And thanks to all here for your help and patience!

Nice, i bet it was hard to just sit and read with it sitting on your property. I went through that, six months later and I still get up in the morning and go see mine even if I don't have to do anything.

Congratulations, sounds like you are on top of things, and yes I agree the slip clutch on the RC needs to be checked.
Here are a couple of things I would check just to make sure. I would check wheel nut torque and all of the loader mounting bolts for proper torque.. With 125 hours, they all should have been gone over several times, but being a demo unit, you never know.. wouldn't hurt to check..

I would grease everything, front and rear zerks of the front axle pivots, steering knuckles all of the loader zerks, and the usual suspects under the floor boards of all the pedal shafts. Also on the back the usual draft pivots and jackscrews zerks on the 3pt. In other words, if you can find a zerk, grease it, and then you will have a reference point to know when to grease again.

At 125 hours I would check fanbelt tension, only takes a few seconds and make sure the coolant level was good. I would check all the bolts on the backhoe mounting frame, and grease the backhoe too. In other words, go over the thing like you were the dealer and going to deliver it to some poor unsuspecting guy that never owned a tractor before!:)

I have found through the years that no-one loves your tractor like you love your tractor. If you do these things, you will avoid about 95 percent of the complaints that new tractor owners have. Besides when you are crawling all over your new tractor, you get a feel for where everything is and you will notice if anything is amiss.

Again congratulations, and happy tractoring.

Congrats on the new tractor. My LS hat came with a tractor too!! LOL! James makes some very good points about checking over your tractor. Another thing to check on your new tiller is that all the bolts are tight especially the ones on the blades. I bought a new one and at least 50% weren't tightened to the proper torque and at least 25% were what I would call "catastrophically loose". Better to be safe than sorry. Good luck with the new toy!
