This sprayer has gave me fits from the start.... I only use it once or twice a year & have already replaced the original pump.... Well..... it's at it again... The best I can figure is there must be a problem with the pump again... I'll have good pressure & then no pressure.... I pulled the outlet hose off & it was definitely pumping at that moment but it continues to drop pressure on & off... I guess my question is, is it possible for the pump to work intermittently? The original pump just flat out quit working.... What's the life span of one these pumps if it's been well maintained? The second pump was from TSC...

I have a 250 gallon 3 point mount and mine has a 7 roller (I think) Hypro pump and no issue spraying at all. You are cleaning it our after use I presume?

PTO or electric pump? What are you spraying? Some sprays like roundup really needs to be flushed out each time.

What are you spraying. Also are you cleaning the sprayer after each use?

Roundup is an acid so all your sprayer parts have to resist acid. Even rinsing out the sprayer after use may not be enough. Assuming you are spraying roundup, the effect on sprayer parts is time related. The longer an item is in contact with the spray, the more damage it receives.

If you are using Glospahtes (Roundup) you need to have a pump designed for it. They cost more money but they can hold up to the chemical. Further, after using roundup you should flush the tank and system with a chemincial neutralizer before letting it sit.

I have one pretty much like yours, paid for the more expensive PTO Pump, put booms and electric controls on it so I can turn on / off each boom from the seat. It has worked like a champ but it gets flushed as soon as I am done spraying.
