The Freedom towing system keeps fifth-wheel hardware out of the truck bed and allows the same pickup to accommodate both gooseneck and fifth-wheel trailers. The towing system moves the fifth-wheel head to the trailer pin box in an inverted position. The head couples to a kingpin adapter located in the “lock-and-load” under-bed mounting assembly. When the fifth-wheel trailer is parked, only the kingpin remains in the bed of the truck. The system can handle fifth wheels weighing up to 20,000 lbs. and goosenecks of up to 25,000 lbs.
