Thinking about declaring chemical warfare on crabgrass.
The yard has more crabgrass than I find acceptable, and I have a fairly high tolerance for weeds.
The neighbors' yards look to be oceans of the stuff and I don't want this to get completely out of hand.
Anyway, I read a while back about a pre-emergent named Barricade®. It is the only pre-emergent that has a chance of lasting all year if it is applied in the fall. Second thing, it only comes as an ingredient of fertilizer, and I don't water so I don't fertilize in the spring, therefore none of the other pre-emergents seems like a workable solution.
I had at one time found it in a Bayer Advanced fertilizer, but now I can't find it on their website any more so I will have to keep looking.
Anybody have any experience using Barricade® against crabgrass?
