FEL manure forks

Looking for ideas for manure forks for my 1210. Any good ideas for a quick mount in the bucket. 3/4 or 1" bar stock about 16" long sound good? weld them to a plate at what spacing? Attach plate to the bucket pins,bolts???

Sounds good, I would stick with 1-1.5 square bar stock, about 8-10" apart.

Do a search on toothbars and mount onto bucket kinda like those.

Never built nor used one just sounds about right

I take care of a horse farms manure and it has alot of hay in it. Its in a pile but with a flat cutting edge you cant get much so i built a clamp on bar out of 6by 3/8 plate and welded 2 by 2 by by1/4 angle iron to this plate with the v facing down. and about a foot out in front of the bucket. then beveled each leg of the digging end of the ang iron at a 45 degree angle. It doent dig compacted manure at a feed lot well as it would strain the arms of the loader. But its a lif saver when it comes down to the hay manure mix. I also do some silage loading for a dairy farm with it.

Do you happen to have a photo of the unit you built? I only have a couple of horses, but ways to move the pile easier is always welcome.

Ive a a lighter duty one i made to try out before i bult the bigger one. The bigger one i use is a the horse farm now. Ill take a picture of the ligher duty one i have today. I made it as a model for the heavy duty one but it works great to. I made it from som short pieces fo angle from work. Before I had it icould only get the bottom of the bucket full on my machine but now it increases the capacity and is also useful for turning the compost pile to areate it.

A friend of mine has made several manure forks for loader buckets. He uses car axles, with the flange cut off, as the prongs, welded to a plate, and bolts it to the floor of the bucket. Works very slick.
