Has anyone experienced their FEL Joystick getting sloppy after a lot of use? I have about 118 hours over 15 months using granite grapple mainly and occasionally bucket.

The stick flops around and even rotates slightly but it still controls the boom fine. It feels like it's going to fall off in your hand.

I was wondering if anyone else had this issue or maybe tore into it and found what was broken or worn out. Maybe a parts list and schematic?

Thanks for the help!

if it's anything like my LS , there is a little spring loaded 'piston' in the joystick that can get loose. look for an allen screw in the bottom of the loader valve.

Sounds like a mechanical problem. Take a look under the joystick boot. On my old tractor the 4 way valve actuation was done via threaded ball rod ends and the retaining nuts would wiggle loose after time. I added a lock nut and problem solved.

My joystick has never got really loose. But at 100 & 200 hour mark - I lifted the boot to lube the underside mechanism. I saw what aslack99 & mikester are describing. I could see how "things" could get loose and affect the joystick operation.

So I pulled the boot and all looked well I there except one rod seemed to travel too far. I realized that the cap screws on the stick were in alignment with the rod. So I broke out the Allen wrenches and checked for tightness and found the bottom left was extremely loose not that it looked like it. After tightening it the slop was gone.

Thanks for pointers wasn't sure what I would find under the boot and did not want to screw something up and risk the warranty.

Glad you got it fixed. I use mine dang near every day, and kind of panicked when it messed up.
