Hello,
I am having some problems with my loader after taking it off the tractor to do some mowing. When I went to hook it back up the loader curl circuit wasn't working. I could not get one of the qd to seat properly. There was a lot of pressure on the loader side of the line. I thought I had released the pressur by operating the joystick in all functions once the tractor was off. But apparently not.

The loader side qd would not seat in properly do to the pressure. So I cracked the line at the cylinder and bled the pressure off. Tightened the fitting and connected the qd. At this point I thought I was ready to get to work, lifted the bucket curled it back no problem. But the bucket won't un curl. Pulled the qd, Wont recouple, same issue, too much pressure. Bled the pressure and swapped hoses to check the valve function. Put the loader lift qd in the un curl location loader lifts about 2' off the ground and nothing. Pulled the valve side qd and tried to put it back in its proper location and the qd will not stay coupled. Meanwhile the qd for the uncurl function will now couple in its correct location but no functionality.

The worst part of it is I needed the loader to put a rented tiller on the pickup to return it. Thanks in advance.

Either get a new QD of a kit to fix same, or remove the QD and use a union to couple the two lines.

Have I introduced air to the bucket curl circuit? I will try a new qd.

after playing around with the bucket lift qd I now have that back to working prelude but the curl is still non functional

In the curl circuit, if you unplugged your curl cyl QD and plugged a hyd gauge in the work ports, and activated the curl up and curl down, you would see relief pressure if the curl work ports was working as advertised.

If you see pressure and hear the relief going off, then the valve is good.

You did check both QD, or switch them around.

Jj thank you for your assistance, I have done some experimenting with the qd connections and this is what I have found.
When I plug the loader lift line into the female uncurl port tractor side the loader lifts about two feet off the ground then stops, when the loader uncurl male is plugged into the loader lift female port on the tractor side the loader uncurls about two inches and no more. Are these symptoms of bad qds or is there something more going on?
Several of th qds are now quite hard to make a connection. I believe I have identified the fittings as 7241 series a if that has any bearing.

Yes, sounds like QD's

A positive check is to remove the QD's and insert unions inline and that will provide full flow.

Should keep a set of them on the tractor for emergencies.

JJ, changed out the QD, everything is working properly now. The spring in the female side was displaced. Thanks for the advice. much appreciated.
