FEL has gradually declined to rise up - ideas before I call the dealer?

Over about 20hrs of use, the FEL on my 1070 has gotten weak to the point where the bucket will simply not come off the ground. I didn't need it for heavy work, so I would place it about 2' up to bush hog. It began taking higher and higher RPMs to make the move.

My reflex was to change the oil, filter and clean the screen. I have about 750hrs on the machine. The oil change had no effect... The only odd thing to my mind - is the lifting arms for the drawbar/rear attachments seems plenty strong ..and moves freely and quickly?!

I am out of ideas .. next is a call for the rollback to take it to the local J-D dealership. I'd appreciate any last chance ideas. Cheers.

Try disconnecting all hose end quick connects for the loiader and re-connecting to see if maybe one of them has worked loose before calling the roll back.

The loose fitting will either restrict or stop the oil flow and cause a problem. It may or may not cause a leak.

Lady luck is nowhere to be seen. I undid all four fittings and re-did them. Nope, the bucket is a ground hugger. If the rear attachment arms are functional, would that not lead to the joy-stick controller for the FEL? ...hopefully.

It's possible the cable on the joystick broke and the control valve spool isn't moving. Can you have someone move JS handle while you look to see if spool is moving. You could also switch places with the boom & bucket hoses at the quick disconnects to see if boom will raise. Can boom be used to lift front tires off the ground??

Sorry but it sounds like you have a blown seal in the lift cylinder. This is something you can fix your self pretty easy., just get a seal kit. I do recommend that if you do you side do the other.

I would recommend checking the JS control cable & spool valve operation before ordering 2 boom cyl. kits.

I would probably haul the cylinders if that was the case. A friend is makes up hydro systems... I will rush home tonight and check to see - if I see anything that looks like it should be moving. It's like asking me to look at an amoeba in an electron microscope.. but that does not mean I am unwilling to look. I just will not look in a 'Prisoner's Wallet'. Thanks.

If I found the correct JS lever there are no cables but there still could be something loose.
