FEL getting weak

I have a 6000 4wd. I recently purchased Paynes forks to assist in moving bundles of lumber during my fence build over the last month. This weekend, I purchased one more bundle of fence pickets and was unloading them from my trailer, but the bucket would not roll back all the way and it seemed weaker on the lift up. How do I diagnose whether the pump or filter or whatever? I only have about 275 hrs on the tractor which is about 4 yrs old. I read elsewhere on the boards about a screen that may need cleaning. Where is this screen? Is the power steering pump part of the hydaulic pump assembly? I saw a pump online at Bill's Tractor in San Antonio in the $350 range. Would just like some tips/pointers. Thanks
