Got my 430 loader, and it sure is nice! When I was mounting it I noticed the paint on the mounting frame (those heve square tube pieces) is already pretty chipped up. Is that normal, or am I just having trouble lining it up? I think that I might end up getting those powder coated. Any other suggestions?

I ended up low on hydraulic fluid with the swap, any idea how much is taken up by the loader?

Yes that is normal. I have removed and reattached my 430 loader probably 50 - 60 times or more. I have got scratches or chips out of the paint on the loader mounts but not really too bad. You'll get better at removing and attaching it the more you do it. I always have a can of touch-up paint to keep my scratches from getting rusty. Not sure how much hydraulic fluid the loader takes but would guess it should list it somewhere in the manual. I have not had to add any fliud yet so I can't speak from experience on this. I love my 430 it has lifted everything that I could get the bucket under. I know I have been able to lift more than 2500 lbs to full height even though the manual states 1258 lbs at full height.
