Been working on a set of forks for the Farmtrac 80. Please excuse the rust and dirt. I'll get the pressure washer out when spring comes and wet sandblast the hanger carriage and forks.
I cut a hole so the hanger carriage would fit over the hay spear. I can remove a nut and the spear comes off when using the forks. The short set of spikes at the bottom are right beside the forks, so I didn't have to cut those off and relocate. The forks will close in to 34.5 inches so they'll fit a standard pallet.
Here's a side view and can see where the hanger carriage sits on top of the frame and is welded. The bottom of the hanger is welded to the botton tube. This worked out pretty slick. The forks were free from a factory where I worked back in the 80's. The hanger was $50. There's a forktruck salvage and repair shop 7 miles from my home. Few welding rods and I guess you could say it was cheap enough to build.
