I have my FEL off at this time , and noticed water collecting in the mounting bracket on the tractor (from washing) , where I will call the elbow socket for the FEL . Anyway I was thinking of drilling a small hole to drain any moisture that collects . Anybody else noticed this or think there would be a problem drilling a small hole for draining . Thanks in advance !

I think I know where you're referring to and I've had no issues in regards to water collecting in it over the years. As far as drilling a "drain hole", it may not be a good idea.
1.) you'll have a hole with bare steel edges that will start to rust.
2.) it may start cracking due to stress in that area.
3.) dirt and debris collects there also and would eventually plug the hole.

You wash your tractor???

I'll have to take a look at mine, but I have never had the FEL off. As far as a drain hole, personally I would rather drill a hole and get that water out of there.

If you have a wet dry vac it will suck all the water out. Or reverse it and blow it out. easier than drilling...

I'm w/ Mpham......use a air hose or shop vac and blow it out if it really bothers you that much......& I say that with respect b/c I know we all have our little qwerks!!!
