Feast or Famine

It rained once the entire month of July -- on the 25th we got about an inch. Didn't rain again until late yesterday afternoon. 6-1/4 inches from yesterday afternoon until about 11:00am. That was in my rain gauge. Just a little west of me folks reported 10 to 13 inches. Lots of flash floods and plugged culverts. Rural folks should know better than to try to cross a low water bridge that's covered, but the news has reported two different water rescues from this morning.

6 dead here in southern MN. 2 or more still missing. reported 5 to 15 inches of rain feel this weekend in the souith east corner.

I talked to a friend of mine down there and he said his nice green pastures look like beaches of sand and rock,everything washed away.

more rain on the way,lots of folks lost their homes.
