I like 'em, just use your head and don't push them too hard.

Should work good for most applications, putting a Log or pallet full of weights might be too much but for most part would work good for the average brush pile...

I have similar plan, though using 3 or 5 receiver tubes welded onto my bucket w a heavy plate. Then use some 2"x1/4 wall tubing to extend the forks to the bucket like you did. I have a set of compact forks from company I worked for that was tossing a old FL. only wish I took the entire mast! lol.

Great welds. Just a little concerned with just one point of contact for the top. Won't it bend if you just lift with one fork? Maybe I am missing another support in the picture.

When I built mine, I ran the tubing all the way to the side of the bucket and welded plate to the edge of the bucket. I also have my forks resting against the leading edge of the bucket. Takes all the torque out of the equation.

Or welding a short piece of angle to the back of the fork forming a "v" so that it rests on the edge of the blade of the bucket.
