Was doing some light loader work this weekend when the gear selector lever on my FT360 quit working. The selector lever is attached to an extension (down inside the dash) by a pin that apparently sheared. I can't shift gears anymore.
I was able to drive home in 4th gear, med range. It was a slow ride....

I'll call the dealer tomorrow. The hazard lights have never worked so I'll get him to fix that also. Anyone else seen this problem with the gear selector?

No. but that hazard light issue is common speaking from personal experience and the experience of others on this board. I would think the company is aware of the hazard light issues and would've taken appropriate action by now. After all, they are called HAZARD lights. Hopefully it won't take someone getting hurt before they make good on faulty switches.

Keep us posted on the repair of your shuttle shift lever and the hazard lights.

I spoke to my dealer today. He's going to drop ship me the parts.
I asked for the hazard switch plus relay and all pins and set screws that attach the shuttle shift lever. He wanted me to trailer the tractor to him (80 miles), so I opted to do the repairs myself. He stated Farmtrac will not reimburse him for transport or travel costs...is that normal?

Also, a note on the known issue of hazard lights not working: I sent an email (twice, via the farmtrac website) to service@farmtrac.com, politely asking about the hazard switch and if it had been addressed. Both times it bounced back to me as undeliverable. Somewhere, someone is thinking "I'm surprised no one uses this email address!"

I'd really like to see the company act pro actively on known defective items.
Historically, companies that act reactively don't last very long.
I don't want to be the owner of a "I remember that brand" tractor.

Yes.
Most tractor mfg. do not cover transportation for warranty work.

I'd had emailed the service dept. back in March/April and received a promt reply. I'm not sure what the problem would be with the undeliverable status.

Fixed the shifter this past Sunday. Roll pin that connects the shifter to it's shaft was MIA. I put a nail in it's place, works fine and won't fall out again.
Replaced the hazard switch with a new one, but the problem still exists.
Can anyone remember what the real fix was for the Hazard light problem?
I need to drive on the road, so the hazard lights need to work.

I caught a similar type of pin attempting to inch out of its home connecting the Hi-Lo shaft to its lever.

Don't know if it's the real fix, but lately if I push the switch in and hold for a few seconds, the hazards shut off.

Herman,

I'll be sure to have a good look at it this weekend. I know the switch wiring harness is plugged in. You must be talking about the other end of the harness.
I'll report back. Thanks for the post!
