Every farm has a story would make a good read…
We have so many farm stories around here. Most are pretty sad.
Just up the road from me there was a farm operated by 2 brothers. One is still alive and is in his 90’s (proving hard work outdoors is a healthy way of life). His brother not so lucky. About 40 years ago he carelessly climbed to the top of silo to investigate a problem, fell in the top into corn and died from suffocation.
Corn in those silos is like quicksand.

There was an older farmer nearby who had the biggest Massey Ferguson tractor I've ever seen. Didn't have a ROPs. He managed to flip it upside down, but the fenders were so tall and he was so scrawny that somehow he lived despite him being under the tractor when the EMS crew freed him. I don't think he was even badly hurt.
