I have a 53 Farmall super C with 2 point fast hitch and touch controls, decent shape, everything works as it should, original condition, not restored, just a working farm tractor. We don't use it much, might rake a little hay with it of tug around trailers or wagons but nothing important. I have had it for sale for a while, a few tire kickers but I have been pretty firm on my price and no sale, not that that bothers me. I also have a 53 ford NAA which I love, we rake and ted hay with it faithfully, bushog field edges and pastures, dig post holes ect. Long story longer is I have an uncle with a ford 8n, has wiring issues, but does run and work. He has asked if I would be interested in trading. I like the ford NAA so much I am thinking why not the 8n? I think my Farmall is worth a little more but I think I would like and use the ford more so I am really considering it, he doesn't have a pot to piss in or a window to trow it out so money is out of the question. It has the external hydraulic line for a loader but no loader. I am thinking make a drawbar bracket that would lock the 3 point arms and I could use the drawbar to hook up the tedder and the hydraulics for the hydraulic fold. Drawback is I would have to un-hook the pto shaft to fold the tedder, but I only need to do that between fields anyways. That is the only hydraulics I use anyways. If I rake, bushog, pot hole digger, with it they have no hydraulics. I guess the Farmall has no external hydraulics so even that would be a wash. What do you all think?

I would say go for it. I like to think of the jubilee and the Generation 2 8n because they are so similar. 8n is a testament to itself in tractor design. The MF 35 and oliver Super 55 are tractors built around the 8n's attributes. If you were doing row crop farming I would say keep Super C especially if you have mid mount cultivators but describing what your intended purposes are I would go with the 8n even if you might feel your getting the short end of the deal.

1. 8n parts are much easier to get and I am not certain but am willing to bet many parts on an 8n could be used on a jubilee as well.
2. Much lower center of gravity.
3. 8n has more horsepower than the Super C
4. The remote hydraulic valve for the original loader like you said can be moved to the back. Only thing needed for that tractor might be an overrunning clutch on the pto.

i have both an 8n and a farmall C.. the N is a lil bit more tractor than the C.. so yeah.. probably not a bad deal.
