My farm all a started to make squeaky noises when engaged in any forward gear. I checked and topped off all fluid levels that I could find in the rear axle area. There being three areas one on the left two on the right if there are more areas I cannot find them in the operators manual. I am a newbie when it comes to this tractor and any help would be appreciated

Check your brake adjustment. A dragging brake or one down to the rivets will make a "squeaky" noise.

Check the wheel hub clamps, my H did the same thing 25 years ago, also check the keyway on the axel, you’ll need to jack the tractor up to take the weight off the wheel and check it for any movement.

Jacking it up could be fun it has iron wheels. Thank you

If you mean the grease zircons
a month ago I use the operator manual to find all the lube points

I could very well be a brake dragging as mentioned. Those are band type brakes, and when going in forward gears, with the way they are designed, they will tighten a bit if dragging. They do work much better going forward, than in reverse, as they have a tendency to self release/unwinding if you will. Hard to explain, unless you see them, or, see an exploded view of the parts.

Seems that of the 4, one including my new to me 140, the right brake is much better than the left, although may be worn more, and have a lower pedal when braking. The left always seem to have a higher pedal level, but poor braking, due to a seal leaking, and oil soaking the band material.

It very well could be the brakes get it going and lightly press the brakes and see if the noose changes. Better yet jack it up and spin the wheels. My vote os an axle bearing

big difference after replacing brake bands, mine was soaked totally, yes replaced the seal above so that wouldn't continue on next set.
And now it brakes!

I hope JMAX finds his squeak. I admit chuckling over this thinking "squeak?". That tractor makes such a trans/rear end howl with those straight cut gears I got off it the first time and said this transmission is shot. I was looked at with knowing smiles...nothing the matter with it, they are all loud.

If the left band is usually oil soaked, I'm betting on the right brake band squeaking, simply because less likely for something soaked
in oil to squeak. And I am sure no mechanic...
The problem is you have to crack the block, right?
I put in a new clutch the same time, and how cool, you can actually shift this ancient tractor,
if you count to 1001, without any grinding at all. Everyone on YouTube grinds their gears like crazy...
she's an old girl and likes to go slowly.

does the squeak increase with speed? One assumes rotational but ?

If you don't want to jack it up, can you pull the tractor in neutral with another tractor, does it still squeak?
