Farm Pro 2425 hydraulic fluid shooting out

Wish I knew more about these tractors but I dont know much about them! We got this 2425 for super cheap as the hydraulics didnt work. Once I got it home I noticed he had the hydraulic lines backwards, switched them and it started working great. Anyway, started it up awhile ago and hydraulic fluid (I assume) started shooting out of this part (not sure what it is). The center tube coming out of the bottom has no cap on it. Should there be? Any ideas on what caused this? Thanks!!

Looks more like a crankcase breather than anything hydraulic. And if it is, then no it should not have a plug on it.
