i just recently noticed that going up any incline it seems the clutch is slipping (smells). does anyone know what step i should take next before it gets too bad. if i need to replace the clutch how do i get to it? hopefully its just an adjustment. the machine has 130hrs on it. any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks

First of all, does the clutch pedal have any free play? If it doesn't then a simple freeplay adjustment may solve it. You should have about 1 to 1 1/2" free play in the pedal.
Remember never to ride the clutch, and never slip the clutch when using a FEL to control traction.
If you do have the require free play and its slipping then replacement will be necessary. Its not a job for the novice.
Get back to us with your free play.

The clutch is also adjustable,if you have a frontend loader you will have to remove the braket, let us know what it is and I can try to help you with adjustment

Well hopefully you have not slipped it too much to cause irreparable damage but we won't know that until you adjust it. There should be a threaded rod with locknuts under the floorboard that lengthens or shortens the linkages for the clutch pedal.
Basically you are going to loosen the locknuts and turn that rod(lengthen or shorten) so that you achieve the proper "free play" in the clutch pedal, tighten the nuts and try it out.
Block/chock the wheels and with engine OFF have someone push/release clutch pedal while you are watching clutch linkages and you will see what needs to be lengthened or shortened.

im going out now to try it thanks. just for my knowledge if i had to change the clutch- could you give me an idea of how to access the clutch plate. ive changed clutches before on my trucks(unbolted transmission to expose Clutch and pressure plate) but i dont see how or where to unbolt the assembly

There are rectangular inspection plates on one or both sides of the bell housing. They permit limited access for adjustments. But unlike your truck, the tractor has two clutches; one for the transmission, one for the PTO shaft. Makes for a little more complicated adjustment sequence.

And unlike your truck, major clutch work literally requires breaking the tractor into two pieces - separating it between the bell housing and the engine block. That part is pretty straightforward. It's fooling with the hoses and wires before and after "the breaking" that can be aggravating.

thank you all for the info, i will remove the access plate another day to attempt to adjust it. is there any manuals or links regarding these tractors that would assist me with this procedure or any other future work.

Can't believe somebody would sell a new tractor without the manuals. You should have gotten four; tractor user manual, tractor parts manual, engine user manual, engine parts manual. I recommend you get on the phone to Homier (or the selling dealer) for yours.

In the mean time, Service Advisory 11 will get you started
