FARM CAT

I,m looking to buy a bulldozer for the ranch...anybody here
have any opinons on what brand to buy or not to buy Cat , Allis or International. or what size makes a good farm cat. I have been offered the following a TD18A. a D-6, TD-9. I want to stay under 20,000.00 Canuk bucks.I want to clear some serious acres on my lease.

I have had good service from my Cat D3...It does everything I need. At 16,000 lbs, it is too big for me to transport so I don't have to worry about people asking to use it!

Do you know where Lynn Lake is??? I know of a guy there who does the cat trains and he even digs them out of the lake I guess and reworks thm or something. I believe he sells cats too, atleast would be willing to. Anyway he goes by the name King Of Obsolete, you may have heard of him. Hes a real nice fella. Something to look into.

I have an IH TD6-62 dozer with a Drott skid shovel loader. If you want information on the International TD's then go to the Red Power forum, the IH Construction Equipment section, and ask your question. That's where all the IH guys hang out. And the majority of them are Canadians.

Lorne, yeah hes on another forum I wander on. KoO that is. hes a real nice fella. Tries to do things the old fashion way from like the 40s or sometihng. I know aleast the ones Is ee arent generally dozers...but back then it was a simple thing to make them dozer or just cat. Not sure if its what your interesetd in. Hes a real nice guy though. Anyway, whatever you do hope it works out. Them dozers sure are a lot of fun. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif I messed with one in the navy...what a blast
