Kubota B1750
Kubota B1750. I turned off the fuel valve, replaced the filter, and started it without opening the fuel valve. It ran for a couple of minutes then stopped (without any hesitation of missing, dead stop). I have attempted to bleed the system (after turning on the fuel valve) without success. No fuel at the injectors.
Questions
Is it possible to put the filter in "upside down", effectively stopping the flow of fuel?
Does this tractor have a "compression release" lever?
Is there a way I can lift the bucket to tow the tractor 100' to my hayshed.

Any thoughts before I begin a tank to injector cleanout.

Thank you

Absolutely certain it's back on? I did almost exactly what you did one time. THOUGHT I had forgot to turn the valve back on and it was running really rough (due to a little air in a line or two). So inadvertently turned the valve OFF. The markings are not exactly the clearest.

I don't think that my L4330 filter can go in upside down, but I'm not sure on a 1750. Sorry, no help.

Does the 1750 have a "purge" valve or valve setting to purge air? Sometimes if the filter housing is dry, it can take a good bit of cranking to thoroughly purge the air.

Even if you do not have a purge function, cracking open one or two injector lines will do the same thing. If you have done this and are not getting any fuel, your filter may be in backwards (or valve still off).

I would also bleed at the inj. pump. Mine has always started without going any further.

Welcome!
Did you follow the instructions in your operators manual?

I owned a B1750 for a year some time ago.
I changed the fuel filter once following the manual-all was fine.

I recall something like pulling out the manual fuel stop lever, changing out the filter, then cranking the engine a bit with the stop lever still pulled out.
Engine started and ran perfectly afterward.

I may very well be incorrect as this was 10 years ago.
Maybe some other B1550,B1750,B2150 owners can help as these are the same series tractor!

Good Luck!

Filter should only fit correct direction
I saw no decompression lever in parts only manual stop lever
You can tow by putting trans in neutral then attach tow chain to tractor frt axle routing chain under loader bucket then when chain is tightened from towing vehicle bucket will raise enough to tow.

I think you just need to purge air from fuel system to get engine to run.

I just changed my fuel filter on my L3240 recently and Googled before I did it. The "trick" mentioned online is once you screw on the filter assembly leave it loose, open the fuel valve and the fuel flowing into the filter will push the air out of the filter assembly. Then fully tighten the filter down and start the tractor. Worked perfectly for me, no bleeding needed.

screw on new filter but leave loose by 2-3 threads
•open fuel petcock
•let fuel fill filter and run out and down into your catch bucket
•tighten fuel filter for the remainder

Thanks for the suggestions. I begin at the filter and took it all apart and put it back together again, bled the lines, and it started right up. It ran for many hours yesterday with 4 starts. I do not know what I did right or wrong, but it is no running fine. Thanks for all the input.

Yay! All's well that ends well. BTW, :welcome:, and stick around! Lots to learn on here.
