I just bought a used F935 front mower but I didn't get any manuals or operating info. Does anybody know how to check the hydraulic fluid level? I crawled all over in there with a trouble light and I could not find a dipstick, or a check plug anywhere. Also does it just take regular hydraulic oil?

Thank for any help...

Welcome to TBN. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I have a F735. It has a dip stick to check the level under the seat.
I went to JD's parts list for the F935. The only thing I could find was a over flow tank. Looks like there may be a level the should be kept on the tank. Here is a link to the parts list. Click Here Hope it works for you.

Well, I studied the exploded diagrams on the parts list page (thanks for pointing it out to me) and decided to fill the overflow tank with regular hydraulic fluid until it covered the return line (a little over half way). Turns out that was too much since half way through a mowing session it started to drip fluid out the overflow drain . Live and learn. Still would like to know the "real" answer.

Under the front end there is a tube that has a clear observation area that you observe and make sure it is in the tube half way.
