I've had an extended range F150 Lightning with the max tow package for 14 months now. The question everybody asks me about it is if it can tow in the cold. The truck has a 10,000# towing capacity so I loaded my DK45 with loaded tires (~6500#) onto my 3000# dump trailer and headed 80KM (50 miles) to the cottage at 4C (39F). The next day, I picked up two loads of gravel at -2C (28F) for a combined trip of another 80KM (50 miles). I paid for 3 ton of gravel each time but the yard didn't have scales, and from experience loading with scales, I know the second load was +- 4 ton for a combined weight of about 11,000#. So, how does the F150 Lightning handle being maxed out in sub freezing temps?...
