I had a 790 for 5 years and over 200 hours only ever had 2 problems with it. The first one was a shift fork that was machined wrong so it kept jumping out of gear( found this out from new) the second was batterys. they would go bad about every 2 years. never had any other problems. Also had a 950 for over 25 years . It needed batteries every couple of years and after 20 years it needed a clutch and muffler and seat. sold it to a friend with over 7000 hours on it. and he still has it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gifYou almost can't kill the Yanmars /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

If JD is offering it, you don't need it. Think about it for a min. Would they offer an extended warranty on a machine that had a bad repair record? The 90 series are a bullet proof machine.
