Extended warrantee ?

My 4310 eHydro is almost 2 years old, and recently went back for another warrantee repair (4 total) although it has only about 150 hours. The previous repairs were minor, but this one was a related to the PTO.

The parts person at the dealer told me he does not normally recommend the warrantee, but does on my model...what's the consensus here ? The cost is about 1k for 3 years.

Just checking to make sure that my model doesn't have some sort of major reliability problem !

Shop the price around. Internet and even your insurance agent. Extended warranties have an extremely high mark up. Extended warranties can save you money on a gremlin machine, but buying them can get you ripped off too, if your not careful. Do some research. Find out who the warranty (insurance) company is that your dealer is selling and try to contact them directly. You may save yourself some money. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Be sure to know what kind of warranty you want before you sign up for one. For example a basic extended powertrain warranty may only cover internally lubricated parts, leaving out things like eletronically engaged pto, or the electronic control part of your hydrostat. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
