Congratulations on the purchase. Now we will have a "live" machine to compare the "US" version to and see how they differ, if at all. I just received in the mail from a friend in New Zealand a brochure on the older BX tractors. The BX22 wasn't available in that publication. I love the way that the European grass catcher works, but it isn't available in the States, and I don't know if it is available Down Under. Keep us posted on changes that you notice also. Do you know where your machine is being assembled and where the parts are being manufactured? The loader and hoe are manufactured in the States for the States version of the BX, but I don't know about the others that are sold around the world.

That's a fine machine you've ordered. The 6 week wait will seem like forever, but it's great to have you participating here! Beautiful pictures... have you got a list of projects awaiting the arrival of your new BX?

Sorry you do not have a live machine to compare. They refused to import the machine to here so I got a friend over there to get it and send it here. Some companies just do not want to do business. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

4: General maintenance, slashing etc

Getting the bx23, box blade, rotary hoe, rear slasher.

David....... I have a US made BX22 and thought that you were getting a AU manufactured BX23. I didn't realize that you were having a machine imported to AU. Where is your machine coming from? Kubota is a very strange company. They only sell what they want to in countries that they choose to and consider products that they don't sell in those countries "grey market" products. I believe that they are definitely missing the market potential in many ways. One thing is for certain, you are going to be the envy of the neighborhood!

I actually e-mailed to all the companies local reps, trying to get a similar tractor combination. Kb, Mf, Jd,

Kubota is the only one that replied, first telling me they would import the BX23 then telling me they would not, when I placed a request for quotation with my local dealer. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I had to get a friend in USA to get it and then to send it to me.
It should be here in 6?????? weeks or so. Then I have to get it through the Au customs etc.

Were you given areason as to why Kubota wouldn't import this machine?, Did you look at the B21TLB?, If you don't mind me asking what was you total landed price?, Will you be able to get warranty through Kubota in Australia as this is a model that they aren't importing?.
What part of Australia do you reside in?

B21 was too heavy as I need to be able to trailer the tractor, keeping the total load less than 2 tonne.
Final price ? Will know when customs have finished with me.
Warranty ?????? good question. I hope I do not need it.
