Is there a difference in quality of bucket teeth? Comparing forged to forged and cast to cast. When I search there is such a wide variation in price. My bucket takes a Cat J200 class side pin tooth. An example would be the U3202. Looking for the best value for my money?

I bought the tiger tooth version from a CAT dealership. $100 for 4 teeth with pins and retainers. Been working hard for 3 years.

I don't know if they are any different than the ones you see on eBay.

That is amazing you have 3 years on the same teeth. My guess is that you have no rock. I have to battle granite rocks and sandy gravel . 30 hours of digging and my teeth are severely worn.

I've just been digging stumps in clay.

I'm thinking the pointed tiger teeth may wear better than the flat ones too.

I was looking at the tiger teeth also. Looking to dig a pond and the ground is hard and compacted.

Did you get twin or single tiger teeth?

Singles. I think they make a world of difference. Especially for digging and tearing through roots. Seems to me like the doubles wouldn't do as good but I've never tried them.

Here is a set on eBay for $40 + $15 shipping. They actually refer to them as "rock" teeth so they may be just what you need. I've had such good results from the factory teeth I bought I'm not sure if it's worth it to try and save money on the eBay teeth. They may be the exact same quality too so ????

The teeth come in different styles and vary in material quality.

Thanks for the info. I saw those on ebay and question the quality as do you. I also read the Casoki blog. Great info. The teeth they sell are also made in China. I wish someone conducted a test to see if there is an actual difference. There are a lot of claims but no data to support the quality of different teeth. Even my local John Deere dealer bucket teeth are made in China.

I have some really cheap teeth on my 310 bucket. Like $30 for 5. I don’t know the hours but they’ve been on about a year and have had quite a bit of use and our dirt is terrible here. As in mostly rock. They still look pretty good with only a little wear to the back side. IMG_7139.JPGIMG_7140.JPG
