Is the repair for losing gear lube a big deal? Rookie mechanic, but willing to learn. I have to add lube every 5 hous of use, but I can't see where it is going.

I am adding lube to the swing device. 80-90 weight. It is only supposed to hold a gallon and it seems to just disapear. Based on hours of use, it went through the entire gallon in 15 hours of use. I think it is dust draining through to the swing gear. I have to check it out tomorrow. I have to look at the schematics, but I think there is a place where I can see into that area. I am hoping that I can just unbolt the entire device and lift it up and then dismantle to replace the oil seal.
