Oh I've heard those are really nice machines! I've never used a ESAB machine, I use to own a Linde VI-206, which ESAB bought out Linde a few years ago. The VI-206 had inductance control, it was amazing how much control that had over the puddle:shocked:. You could wet out the puddle for flat welding, or really dry it out for vertical uphill welding.:cool2: Only reason I bought the VI-206 in the early 80s I sheeted an 80' X 80' X 70' tall building with 4' X 8' X 10-GA sheets of steel at the Boeing Space Center. All welds were 100% penetration. All vertical welds were uphill. Super nice control with those machines!
