I am looking at the Erskine Attachements snowblowers. Skidsteer Attachments - Erskine Attachments LLC

Does anyone have one of their products?

I have a bx 2200 and was curious about the front mount 620FM blower. It looks like a neat concept. Mounts to the front of the tractor, but uses the rear PTO.

I am pretty sure the rear mount version would work as well, 520RM or 620RM. Anyone have one or use one?

Not sure of the price, but would like to get a snowblower of some type. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Wes

The kubota brand front blower is very expensive. Requires a subframe and drive shaft that connects to the mid pro. Having said that, I am very pleased with my front blower and blade.

The only problem I see with front mount rear pto driven is it takes both ends of tractor . I for one like the front mount with a rear blade or a rear mount blower with a fel . .

I'm an Erskine fan - very rugged products. We've had two FM720 blowers - one is altered to 7' width. Also have a 7' New Idea rear mount with a drag blade.

The Erskine FM's are pretty big for a BX but maybe the narrower models have a more compact under-frame. The issue would be ground clearance. Maybe check with a dealer who has installed one on a BX ? The rear-mount should work ok.

I'd suggest start with a simple cat.1 rear-mount - 48" to 60" wide, any brand, and see how you like it before buying a front-mount. Front mounts always need more expensive adapters of some kind. Good to figure out what size and features you really want for your place before taking the plunge.

Yeah, after watching the video and thinking about it some more. The front mount rear pto snowblower is a neat idea, but sucks up the entire tractor. So I think I will stick with the rear mount snowblower. I see northern tool sells some for about $1500.

Currently, I use a snow blade attached to my FEL and it works good until the snow piles up. Then it would be nice to take a blower and blow it all back 20 feet or so.

Will see what the winter brings us! Thanks

best thing about a blower is handling the snow just once. Take care, Dick B

I have a Farm King 50" 3 point blower. Haven't had enough snow this year to use it, but we have the 60" at work behind an 850 John Deere. Boost is about 15 years old, never been inside and works like the day it was new. If I remember correctly it was about $1800.
