I'm close to committing the cash for an equipment trailer to haul a TC 29D with FEL and various 3 PH attachments. I got a quote today on a Tow-Rite 82"w x 18' w/ 2' beaver tail, #10,000lb., with extra D-rings and spare tire/wheel and mount. This trailer has the two foldup ramps. Price is $3175.00. I'm located in central Virginia area. I'd appreciate hearing opinions w/basis regarding the trailer brand and/or price. Thanks.

jd;From what i've seen, TowRite trailers are pretty nice. I considered one before I bought my MacLander. Yuor TC29 should work out fine on an 18', myself, I wouldn't go any shorter. With that lenght of trailer you'll have room to balance your load so you don't put too much tongue weight on your pickemup. Being a 10K, you've probably got 4wheel brakes, if not, it might be an option and well worth the safety $. Above all, don't take chances when dragging a load behind, sometimes a trailer can be an accident waiting to happen when improperly loaded or handled.

That doesn't sound like a bad deal with a spare and everything. Does that include taxes and title? If so, that's a great deal! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks for your "endorsement". I think I just may take the deal on that trailer. I won't be hauling the tractor on a regular basis, so I really don't want to spend top dollar on a trailer with all the bells and whisltes, but I do want decent dependability and durability and one I won't "outgrow" right away. I have looked at other brands at other dealers and they all seem to be fairly close in price for similarly equipped trailers. I just needed to hear that TowRite isn't a manufacturer to 'avoid at all costs' /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif.
I'll try to work on the profile /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

If I've recommended this once here, I've recommended it at least a dozen times. Look into something with a tilt bed so you don't have to mess with ramps, etc., especially during bad weather. I'd suggest an electric hydraulic system for your bed because with your on board battery you can also power an electric winch at the front of the trailer.

I have a setup like that and can load my tractor, secure it properly and be in my truck cab in about ten minutes from the time I'd have the tractor at the back of the trailer. I don't have to climb onto or walk on a slippery trailer bed and I don't have to mess with ramps. It's also really handy if you ever have to move something that's dead to take it to get it fixed.
