You have to look hard, for all stores do not carry it, but there is a type of epoxy made specifically for plastics. It goes by the name of Plastic Mender or Plastic Bond. I think 3M has a product also. It is a two-part compound that chemically reacts like epoxy, but usually smells much worse. Also, usually the set is pretty short, like 5 to 10 minutes. It bounds plastic to plastic very well and plastic to metal. It remains a little more flexible than most epoxies, which seems to make it even more suitable for plastic. If a store carries it, it will be with the epoxies. I've used JB weld with some success, but it does not compare to the products suited specifically for plastic.
