Might be a stupid question, but my eyes are going bad and a lot of times I would like to enlarge the pictures various members use as their avatars to see them better. Is there an easy way to do this? A lot of members have avatars of their tractors etc. like I do and I would enjoy seeing them in a larger version

I also would like that. Good suggestion.

The avatars are a fixed size and I suspect that making them more like an embedded picture/thmbnail would cause for a whole bunch more server power and memory space. Pages would be slower to load and those still on a dial-up would suffer lag time, not to mention access by cell phone when not using wifi. What you can do is run a "search" in the Gallery on the given members user name and see what you come up with.

That would be REALLY time consuming. Good suggestion, though.

I suppose when you say you would like to enlarge the pictures you mean file size or resolution? What I'm getting at is you can download(right click) the picture and enlarge it with out increasing the number of pixels.
Sometimes it will make a completely unrecognizable photo, recognizable.
You may be able to increase rsolution with an editing software like photoshop, but thats not really quick and easy.
But you probably already knew that.

Too bad, because I still can't figure out what "Thomas's" avatar picuture is. I'm dying to know. Guess I could just ask him, huh?

Maybe we should start a thread where we all post our avatar pics in full scale?

If I enlarge my avatar, will my tractor be able to do more work?

I disagree with compacttractorfan, its like if you imagined your self being John Holmes, it should be the same as thinking your tractor being bigger, you should be able to do anything you want with it. LOL zman :D:laughing:
