Engine Not Starting

I have a 2002 B7500 and yesterday after working (starting / stopping) for a couple of hours it would not start. It's acting like a safety interlock issue. About a year ago I had to replace the hydrostat safety interlock so I am familiar with these. I have metered all 3 interlocks (hydrostat, clutch and pto) and they are functioning fine.... So... Where to look next? Any suggestions.... Thanks in advance.

Thanks Paul. There is not a safety interlock on the seat on the B7500. But the plot thickens..... I just walked out to it and gave it a try and it started right up..... My guess now is a loose connection or damaged wire beyond the interlock switch. Gotta love intermittent problems....

Just to be clear, do you mean the engine will not turn over when trying to crank it, or it does crank over, but will not start ?
I,m assuming you mean it will not even turn over. How about putting direct battery to the starter ? Will it start then ?

Update:
I found a solution to the problem.... I just traded it in on a new B2301/LA435/BH70 package..... I figure 2020 is a perfect year to be financially irresponsible....

Good point. And be really clear. Sometimes people here say it won’t crank, but they mean it will crank, but it won’t start. (It might be a southern thing).

On my B26TLB, I have a few times that it would not crank when trying to start it. I found the HST pedal had a switch on it and it would not settle into exact neutral to allow it to start. Jon

Actually, I replaced the safety interlock switch on the hydrostat a few months ago. I metered all 3 interlock switches and they are fine. I believe that it must be a loose wire "upstream" from the interlock switch. The nice thing is, it's no longer going to be my problem. I should be getting my new B2301 in a few days and they will be picking up the old one on trade.....

So new engine is being put in

I'm getting the old one, so now I need to think about what it might be good for. Sticking glass on it and using it as a coffee table would give hours of conversation but the wife doesn't like me to use that language in the house. So what to do with it...

FIL thought about finding the local community college and have them use it for a rebuild project to get it rebuilt on the cheap. That's an option.

Maybe I'll watch some YouTube's and see if it's issues are within my abilities with the tools I have. That's an option.

But after that, if it's even possible, what do I do with it? Genny? Rock Crawler? I'd like to hope I'll never need a spare:confused3:
