My 2000 model M4900 quit running yesterday while moving a rd bale of hay. I blew compressed air(short bursts) into fuel tank filler and no fuel came out fuel line that goes to filter(tank is full of fuel). I blew compressed air in the fuel line and could hear fuel bubbling in fuel tank. Could this possibly be a fuel hose coming apart on the inside?? If not any ideas?? Thanks,Jim

Yes, could be. The fuel generally should flow freely from the tank with a bottom hose connection. Or you have a fuel treatment cap's washer floating around in there and it got sucked up to the fuel line entrance and cut the fuel supply off; nasty little get even trick by some or careless fuel treatment practices by others.

M4900 draws fuel from the top of the tank(according to parts schematics furnished to me by Messicks) not from the bottom. I'm aware fuel should flow freely from the tank hence my question.

I'm not familiar with Kubota but there is only so many ways the fuel is being delivered. Now that we've established your fuel supply goes up the top (via pickup tube and sender?) my advice about the cap/washer still applies if the pickup tube isn't filtered or serrated/perforated at the end. If you run the thing for hours and it CONSITENTLY does this it could be a tank venting issue. You can find that out by removing the cap (in a vacuum) or loosen a fuel line and it will draw vacuum from that area back to the tank.

It's not a plugged vent tube problem as I've blown compressed air into vent tube and just for kicks I've tried to to start the engine with fuel cap removed to no avail. As soon as it stops raining here I'm going to replace the rubber fuel line from the tank to the water separator with "new hose".

In all probability there is an intake blockage. Crud, ice or whatever.
Blowing air back would clear things temporarily and if it repeats a tank cleaning is next.
Also as stated be sure the cap vent is not clogged somehow.
If the pickup is done like in a chainsaw there is surely some kind of filter assy on the end of the pickup.

Its more than likely ur fuel lines lining has come apart causing a flap of rubber to stop up th line when you blow compressed air one way but not the other. Kinda like a check valve. I dont own any kubotas but I do own 7 tractors and dozers. Its not a common problem but it does happen every few yrs around my place.

Thanks for all the replies. I just got it running. I replaced the rubber fuel hose from the tank to the water separator. Bleed the air out and it fired up.
