Looking at an Enforcer 48 and considering a Zforce 50 as well and would be interested in opinions.

Have about 1.5 acres to cut, a few trees, a little bumpy and no hills except for the culvert at the front of the yard.

Also, pricing is at 4699 until the end of the month.. how negotiable are dealers on a cash deal?... I'm hoping to get some off plus free delivery.. $4700 is a bit over budget but I'll spend the extra if I can get a good deal and if it's worth the extra (over the $3999 Z force 50)... any wiggle room??

I like the suspension on the seat and it appears to be better put together than the z force.. and I was told that the blade speed on the z force is something like 11,000 rpm and it's 18,000 on the enforcer due to the fabricated deck allows them to increase the speed (I'm going from memory)..

One concern is the warranty is listed as 2 years for commercial, but no residential is listed.. versus the 3 year on the zforce.. I'd expect it to be at least 3 years, being a commercial unit used residentially.. I emailed Cub Cadet last week and I'm looking for a response.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Johnny, I would think the 'residential' warranty would apply (3yrs, plus other stuff). From what I've seen in the literature, the Enforcer series looks awesome. You can't get any better than a fabbed deck and I think the Enforcer series uses better hydrostatic drives with a bigger hydro oil sump. I dunno if you'll get wiggle room on the price AND free delivery, but it can't hurt to try. I always resort back to early 2005 when I bought my new 2544. It was pay the $2999 sticker or walk. I was fine with that for what I got. That dealer offered free delivery for new purchases.

From what I can see the Enforcer has the heavier fabricated deck, heavier hydros, suspension seat, larger tires and a Kawasaki engine. Some will argue the engine being an upgrade but it probably is even though you give up 2 horsepower to the Kohler on the ZForce.
The Enforcer warranty looks like 2 years with no hour limitations on it. I think the ZForce is 3 years or 150 hours.
I would say the Enforcer is the best deal for the extra $700.

I bought my ZF-50 1 year ago to mow my 1.5 acre yard.

I can see the need for the fabricated deck for commercial use, but for a singe. 1.5 acre yard I don't see the benefit.

My local dealer would not take any $ off the retail price. Another dealer down the road knocked $350 off the retail price. I would call around.

I'm sure either will do fine. Just a matter of how much over kill you want.

The Enforcer is a lot more machine and well worth it. For what you have the Z-force is more then enough!

Hmmm...

Cub Cadet just replied to my email/inquiry regarding the warranty on the Enforcer..

It's 2 years/unlimited use.. commercial or residential..

the Z force is 3 years/150 hours max..

Based on the warranty, the Zforce is the way to go.. OR another manufacturer..

I think that sucks..I replied to the same effect..

Thanks for all of your replies to date.. I kinda had my heart on the Enforcer, a little overkill, yes but better ride with the suspension and another few advantages..

I do see a guy locally selling a 50" Zforce, 2005 model with 83 hours for $2500, real clean.. may be able to get for $2K, no tax, etc..

Good deal?... Even though I know the '07's have the better, upgraded transmissions..

Thoughts?
