While I was investigating a power steering leak, I thought I'd check everything else out while I have the covers off the tractor. Looking at the wiring, I noticed that there were a bunch of loose wires that weren't connected to anything. Tracing them all back, they all go to the fuse box. It looks like the previous owner cut all the wires to the fuse box and hardwired everything. I guess that's why the fuel gauge doesn't work. :confused2:
Do the ~$30 service manuals (I think it's the FO-43 for the 3910) have the electrical diagrams in them, or would I need to buy the more expensive shop manual?
Also, does anyone have experience with the tradebit.com website? I found a e-book (PDF) shop manual (2542 pages) for $60 on their site here: Ford New Holland 3910 Tractor Repair Service Work Shop Manual - Download Documents / eBooks. It's tempting, but I thought I'd reach out first to see if anyone else has had experience with them.
