Hi All
I have a Kubota L-2900 and am interested in using Shell Rotella ELC coolant upon my next scheduled maint. Does anyone have any experience in this area that would give the green or red light for this type of coolant.

You just have to make sure that the coolant is rated for your motor.
I use the Rotella ELC coolant on all my Kubota equipment. It reduces the potential of cavitation in diesel engines. It also has extended drain intervals, however, my real concern was the cavitation issue.

The cavitation issue is my concern as well but the engineers assure me that it is not an issure w/the Rotella ELC. I always like to ask someone how the water is before I go jumping in. Thanks for the reply.

It's not an issue if it's diesel extended life coolant. The regular ELC doesn't contain what is needed to stop cavitation.

do s search on Evan's coolant it is a npg+ meaning non-aqueous propolyne glycol. I converted my powerstroke over to it AND they are THE only ones to have scientific data to substantiate their claims..they do offer specific claims and gusrantees..I like what I see

Terry,
Do you have website for them? Also have you done any test strips since you put it in to see if everything is where it is supposed to be?
JonSpinosa,
Due to the Kubota using parent bore technology instead of liners eliminates the cavitation issue thank goodness. At least in the Grand L series. I am glad that is one issue that is not an issue. I have heard horror stories from owners of Powerstrokes that were never made aware of that maintenace detail.
Happy tractorin'

being that it has no water you dont have to worry about PH..I put it in my powerstroke..lifetime stuff really. you can only have 1% water in there but it can be boiled off..got to the website...lots of info
