eHydro eror codes 4310 No reverse

My 4310 will not reverse. I had a similar problem about three years ago which was corrected by replacing all filters. After replacing all filters and claning screens problem remains.
It will travel forward with no problems, however when reverse pedel is pushed it gives one short and three long flashes, and then will not travel forward or reverse until switched off and restarted. Again, forward with no errors.

Has any one else experienced this and can anyone tell me what the eroor code of , one short and three long, represents?

Hello,

The code you describe is code 10. The tech manual says the calculated resistance exceeds the valid range due to open or short.

Check the easy fixes first. Make sure the wires are connected at the soleniod. It is below your right foot as you are on the tractor. There will likely be a cover on it, mine has a plastic cover held on with plastic push plugs. make sure the connectors are plugged in and there are no loose wires.

The diagnosis is long and you will need to understand how to read a volt meter. Place the tractor on stands and you will need a helper to push pedal while you take readings it the reverse soleniod. At the soleniod there will be a wire 697 purple that will have 12v with pedal depressed . There is a black 050e wire that will have continuity to ground. That should get you started. If I remember I've read of this on here before, check the wiring really good underneath where the pedals are. Also, the pedals have an electronic potentiometer or whatever its called and this could be the problem.

Thanks to both of you and I found it. I traced the wiring from the reverse pedal. Apparently a stick or ?? had pulled just hard enough to seperate contact at the plug. I had to unplug and push the pins back in with a small screwdriver.
I am happy to say she is running strong again, in both directions.
