This is really info in case others have the same problem. So LS XR 4046 with about 100 hours, ECM fuse kept blowing within a few minutes of starting. It was the ECM fuse in the fuse box near the steering wheel that kept blowing. Not the two ECM fuses up near the battery. Took a lot of hours to find, but the short was where the wires come into the fuse box. The clutch pedal had rubbed the wire bare behind the left access panel where the wires go into the fuse box. Just posting in case someone has a similar problem. Took the dealer quite a while to find it, but was very fair with the price, charging way less than the hours it took them. Rich

Glad your dealer fixed the problem and didn't charge for all the hours.

I'm glad they found it but if they had a PowerProbe, which every dealer should have, they would have/should have found it in MINUTES & charged u an hour..
If your not familiar w/ a PP.. theres videos on u tube..
You "power" the circuit w/ a 9v battery..easy to do seeing u know what circuit to test{blown fuse} & using the meter w/ an audible tone, trace the wire until the tone stops.
theres your "break"..
I'm very familiar w/ breaks BEHIND & UNDER fuse boxes & YES they ARE hard to find.. I wish they had that gizmo when I was still getting under the hoods of cars.

Our LS XR 4140 was blowing the ECU fuse over and over and your post helped us to solve the problem. Thank you. Only for us, it was not the clutch pedal, but the brake pedal that was causing the trouble. When the brake pedal was depressed, the tab on the left side of the pedal would grab the nearby wire bundle and pull the wires up when the pedal was released. When the brake pedal was released, the tractor would die from a blown ECU fuse.

FYI, when I was putting a new fuse in, while the wires were being pulled forward (before I realized they were in that state), electricity arced out and zapped my hand and fried the new fuse before I ever got it plugged in! This is even with the tractor key removed! This happened twice before I went on the Internet and found your post. Thanks again.
