- 1988 Bolens/Iseki 1502, also Sears GT5000
One of the things I'd planned on doing with this tractor other than snowblowing was turning the garden. I have a single bottom plow and disc for the sleeve hitch on my Sears garden tractor so I figured I could make something.
I have a bunch of 1.5x4 inch 3/16 C channel so I cut a 5 inch piece and a 3 inch piece and welded them together to have one end boxed. I drilled the box end to match the sleeve on the plow, and drilled the other to bolt up to a 3 point trailer hitch I got cheaply.
I finally got a dry day and ran out to try one furrow with it. It works great! The plow polished right up and ran straight. So much nicer than the blatt off the Sears and I don't have to haul the plow up with arm power at the end of a furrow. The Bolens could use a bit more weight, but it got by fine.
I'll get a pic tomorrow when it's light, maybe I'll clean it up and see if I can find the numbers on my rear wheels too.
