I had a guy send me the best, easiest, and fasted PTO adapter for a tractor to be reviewed on Tony's YouTube channel. I don't share much on the forum out of respect, but this is worth-while, and I think everyone will want one? I know I do!

An expensive solution to a problem that does not exist. A great idea for the guy that sells them. Been discussed here before. Anyone that understands how to connect a PTO shaft knows these gizmos are a waste of money. Save yours and learn how to connect PTO shafts without getting frustrated. It really isn’t that difficult.

And furthermore, the easy connect gizmos are ok for the light duty PTO shafts. Try the Category 6 driveshaft on my CX-15. It weighs about 70-80lbs and its not easy to lift and turn and push all at the same time. Thats where it will be nice to have help with connecting!! Im not concerned about HP rating on it, Im concerned about the category/size it will work with.
The light duty Category 1-3 driveshafts are the easy ones. Make on for the bigger ones. Problem is, itll add another 10lbs to the already heavy shafts

It will be interesting to see the final product when it is sold retail. The nice and shiny prototype will be sent to an engineer to see where savings can be had to meet a specific price point. A guess of how many will be sold a year will come into the equation on machining procedures. The big problem with the design in my opinion is the tooth engagement. It works great when everything is clean but what if dirt gets between the 2 pieces? What if you are hooking up the PTO out where the grass is tall and it is getting dark? If the teeth are not fully engaged, you will have stripped teeth. :2cents:

This is not new, it has been out for a while. I remember posting a more detailed critical review of it some time ago on Facebook. Could have been as much as a year ago.

Yeah, I would just about like to hang a $1200 Series 6 CV joint from that. First thing that junk does is make it impossible to adhere to the ASAE dimension standards for drawbars and PTO shafts. And it is downhill from there.

Exactly! I really can't understand all the fuss around connecting a PTO shaft.

Also, these quick connect PTO will extend the PTO shaft further out, which is no good for the internals on the tractor. Same applies on the PTO extensions.

I am relatively "new" to pto connection having done it only 15-20 times. I believe I have failed every single time. I mean eventually it goes on but not without a lot of cussing and other antics. I only wish I didn't know what all the fuss is about. Put me in the camp of a "pto wrestler" where the problem certainly exists here. I've even had people show me and when i do what I just saw what they did...same problem.

I am terrible about it. I don't know the "secret" of making this connection easier but I align teeth, pull the collar, push the shaft on, push, pull, gets stuck, try all over again, fail once more, on and on, eventually punching the shaft, implement and tractor.
I'd be a contender for such a tool as this because I don't know what I'm doing wrong otherwise to have such a tough time connecting any pto shaft. Although not "uncoordinated" in the least (well I am maybe about tieing a stupid johnny on), I am inflicted with PTOitis.

You probably don’t have enough grease on the PTO stubs.
Put a pump of grease on your finger (it won’t kill you)
Smear the grease all over the tractors PTO splines.
Repeat same for the connecting lock collar and inside your PTO attachment.
Also, many PTO shafts have a lube fitting in the middle of the shaft so the 2 pieces can slide easily.
If this isn’t lubricated, it will be very difficult to pull the PTO shaft towards the tractor PTO stub for easy connection.
Whether there is a fitting or not, this slip joint MUST be lubricated or it will make attachment difficult
Should slip on easily.
