After 1.5 weeks here's my thoughts if anyone cares:

So far, the 6.2 is getting around 17MPG, 50% highway and 50% local. Just fine by my opinion. Same as my previous 5.3.

The 6 speed is an incredible tranny. No gear hunting whatsoever. Barely notice when it shifts. I live in an area with nothing flat, and it handles every hill without any issues. Haven't towed with it yet, but I'm pretty confident in what it can do.

My brother has a 5.3 with the same gears and tranny. He pulled his 24ft Four Winns boat to Deep Creek and he couldn't believe what his could do up and down mountains.

The 6.2 puts out incredible amounts of power..More than I thought it would. So far, love it.

Interior is very quiet, and the ride is the best of any pickup I've ever had. Hear a little bark from the 3" exhaust...That's it.

The contols are pretty good and fairly intuitive.

The stereo was much better sounding in my '04. Not sure what I can do about that.

Should have dual exhausts instead of that stupid looking single pipe coming out under the passenger side of the step bumper.

The 55 series 20" tires are not too swift on snow and ice. I will have to use caution there for sure.

GM really stepped up on this new design.

My opinion if it matters.

I like seeing reviews from real customers. Please let us all know how it tows. I think your gonna be very pleased. I totally agree with the comment you made on the single exhaust. Get a good aftermarket cat back dual system and it will not affect your warranty. It'll look much better and will hit some nice notes with the 6.2.

Once I recover from the cash I put down, I'm going to look into "real" duals for it...Stainless hopefully. Something with a nice bark..Flowmaster maybe.

Why didn't they do that in the first place?...Dodge has them.

Probably won't be towing much until spring unless a disaster happens at a family residence. As cold as it is, I hope not. So that one will have to wait.

One other thing for the GM factory guys..It should come standard with the aux lighting...Turn signals in the mirrors, auto dim and an under hood light..What up with that? Mine has none of the above. Odd for a $42K truck...Not really complaining..Just sayin.

Flowmasters are nice. Like the metal tone they give. I must say, this is one strange truck. It makes me wonder if someone ordered this truck and didn't take delivery on it for some unknown reason. As far as the factory duals, in one word. Cost. Whatever setup you choose would beat out factory duals anyway. With all the EPA regulations, it would be all show and no sound.

Stainless is going to be very expensive. I called the major chain muffler shops in central PA and found Meineke to be the least expensive for dual exhaust. All the places quoted the same materials. I had a Flowmaster 40 installed and the pipes came straight out the back, on either side of the hitch. When I had the anemic factory hitch replaced, they exhaust pipes had to be relocated. Since we haul a horse trailer, the pipes were re-routed to exit behind each rear wheel instead of straight out the back. Also, these are not 'real duals' since there's still only one catalytic converter and one muffler.

Understood that's why I had "real' in quotes....

There is a guy in Pittsburgh that does nothing but custom stainless exhaust. Everyone I've spoken to about him says his prices and quality are very good..Might look him up later.

Why not just order a full kit from a company like Borla or Magn Flow and do it yourself?
