Bobcat CT2025
Still waiting on delivery of my Bobcat ct2025 and wanted to get some feedback on which direction to go. Will use for some digging as well as for clearing small trees and brush in woods trail building.

EA does a good job selling their wicked tooth bar. Like it痴 design and added bucket strength and it still functioning for back dragging.

The Bobcat bucket comes with holes for bolt on cutting edge or teeth. This would seem to be the cheaper option. Unless I pull them for back dragging not as functional. Not sure how much strength the EA bar adds or whether I can add a Bobcat cutting edge in addition to the teeth to get that strength.

Not much traffic on the Bobcat sub forum so asking here. I have searched earlier threads, but still unsure. Appreciate all thoughts.

I put a tooth bar on my bucket. I don't use my bucket, so much, for back dragging/leveling. I find the teeth do a good job of scarifying though. And it's a joy for breaking hard ground and shallow digging.

If you need added cutting edge strength - go with a tooth bar and not individual teeth. If you are going to need a tooth bar PLUS a cutting edge -- you just might be asking too much of your Bobcat. JMHO

I found Ratchet Rake (TM) to be more versatile that other tooth bars.

IMO it works best in both directions with minimal tweaking of the bucket's angle.

RR is also easy to swap out for Edge Tamers in Fall getting ready for snow removal.

A tooth bar will help you recognize the need for beaucoup ballast on the 3PH.

It'd be hard to choose a tooth bar you wouldn't be happy with.

I'll admit never comparing both.

BUT I have a 'bolt on tooth bar' and WOW, a whole new world!
Now most of my soil is hardpan, (imbedded stones in a clay base soil) and with the tooth bar I can get full buckets almost every time.
B4 a 3-4 inch stone would simply deflect the bucket. No more!

Thanks folks for the feedback. I really like the EA wicked bar for ripping small trees and bushes-I am projecting. Was wondering mostly if there was a benefit other than cost to individual bolt on teeth.
