DX34 PTO not engaging all the time

I have been having a problem engaging the rear PTO on my DX34. With the enging off the PTO lever slides into place easily. But when running, When I try to engage the PTO it just grinds...sometimes I can get it to engage but it takes awhile.

Is this a linkage adjustment between the lever and the control arm? I tried tapping it to see if something was frozen (not hard), WD40 and regreased the zerks on the control arm.
