Back in 2005 I purchased a Duragrader and as some of you know it took two years to recieve my order. See: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/attachments/71251-dura-grader-problems.html Yesterday I received the message below from the owner of this company. I readily accepted his apology and very generous offer to upgrade my implement at no cost. You have to give the man credit for wanting to make things right even after so much time has passed.

Hello Mr. Freeman
I was hoping I can contact you to see how everything is going with your unit and give you my deepest apologies for what happened. It had me very Upset that things took place like they did cause we are mostly all Christians in this company. Please believe me when I say we didn't intend on anything untrustworthy to happen when you purchased a unit from us, but mother nature put the worst beating on of in my life. We lost everything in that hurricane including close family members. These crooked insurance companies would pay out the claims to us cause they said it was flood damage, and our business wasn't in a flood zone. Well they done that to many people to try and get out of paying for the claims. Luckily the good lord has blessed us and our business is doing real well today. I hope your Dura-Grader is working great for you. I hope to sometime soon get over your direction and bring you one of our new and improved units as a trade in for you to help make up for the problems you occurred. If you ever need anything please give us a call. Also, if you don't mind please give me a call so I can apologize to you over the phone. My number is 228-342-9299. Please believe me when I say that we never had any intention on doing you wrong.

Thank You
Joseph Seal

I am verry impressed. I remember when you had your first concerns after ordering it. It is nice to see a company try to do the right thing. It is also nice that they still remember you even tho it wasn't under the best circumstances. I hope the company continues to make good products and prospers.

Nice to here that a company follows up an is trying to make it right. Most just look at that file and never gets to it.
They say only thing worse than eating crow is eating cold crow.

Sounds like he is trying to fix his reputation. Let us know if he ever actually shows up with the new improved unit. Actions speak louder than words.
I'm not being harsh, just realistic. The guy has had a tough time and making a trade like that is probably not easy for him at this time.

So you ordered in 2005, got it in 2007, and now, 3 years later you are getting an apology...geesh.

I agree with Gordon. Actions speak louder than words. I'd call him every day until that trade arrived...otherwise it might be 2014 before you see anything.

I am not sure how much of the story you know. The company was wiped out by hurricane Katrina. Alot of companies would have just quit. They are trying to get their business built back. and I hope the do. There are lots of satisfied Duragrader customers on TBN. This was the only problem I am aware of.

I have been more then satisfied with my duragrader. It does everything I expected and more. Having been thru hurricane Hugo here in South Carolina I completely understand how devestating that situation is. I hope this company continues to prosper and intend to keep you informed as this story unfolds. Quite frankly speaking I was surprised that this particular story continues after five years have passed and intend to give Mr. Seal every benefit of the doubt.

If this was the only problem you are aware of, then you can't use the hurricane as an excuse. The fact remains that it took 2 years to get the item and an additional 3 to get an apology. I'm not saying it's a bad company or that their products are not good...

I find it difficult to think that it's ok for a transaction to drag out for 5 years but that's just me I guess. Then again, if somebody was giving me a new duragrader I would get over it fairly quickly. I guess as long as Wayne is happy then that's all that really matters.

I don't care how you look at this deal if he is building it in the US, has employees and willing to try to fix old wrongs to make a business that makes something not just rebadge cheap import junk he has my vote. Lets hope he gets back on top of things and we keep talking about his products for years to come.

I like seeing on this site the small privately owned companies that get national sales based on good products and service.

Yep Powerstroke, I definately agree with you! The grader I received in 07 is so well built that I honestly don't need a new one unless it has some new features.
