dual rear tires

Hello, just purchased a Mitsubishi 20hp tractor and I am finding it tippy, I just had the rears filled with calcium and turned the rims around but the tractor still seems pretty tippy. My question has anyone put duallies on their tractors and if so what all is involved.

If anyone has put dual's on their rig I would sure like to see a picture of it. I thnk it would be kind of kewl. Yes it sure would make the thing more stable. What about wheel weights, they will help a lot. But maybe you just need a bigger tractor?

I recall a discussion about duals on a compact a long time ago but could not find the tread. As I recall there was a photo posted, I believe from Europe, of a compact with duals on it and it did look cool. The discussion that followed pretty much concluded that, unlike a full size Ag tractor, compacts do not have the strength in the rear axles and differentials to support the extra stress duals would create.

Well I wouldn't want to over stress the rear end, maybe I will try to put something on the back to weigh it down a lot more. Right now I think the wife would object to me buying a bigger tractor. Anyway thanks for the advice, this is a pretty cool site. On with tractoring.

Don't know if it's an option on your tractor by my wheels can be put on in 4 different positions. The tractor came with them in the narrow position. Moving them to the max width gave me about 8 inches more in width and that made a huge difference in stability.
