While we are driving the Midwest to top of North DAKOTA calling on customers all week I thought I would see if the son and I might pickup a DR generator head.

Found a never used head fore $200 but it is like in OR or WA state and the guy will only do a local sale. We plan to make Lincoln NEBRASKA tonight.

We can live without another generator for sure. :)

A guy did a nice job at rebuilding the slides on the 30" bush hog deck.

If the generator has never been used, it should still have the plug and the instructions to attach the control wires to the engine that then plugs into the control plug on the generator. If not, the plug is fairly generic.

Good luck!

I like my DR generator. The best feature is the powered drive wheels.

Portability is what I am looking for. :)

Does it slide ok w/o a lot of wear on the skids?

The guy sold his DR but for some reason died not sell the gen attachment. He said it came on a small pallet wrapped in plastic.

The DR generator is as portable as the DR Brush cutter. It will easily power itself up a ramp to your truck or trailer. It will power itself out to the back forty. I can't imagine that that you would go far enough with the generator to wear out the runners.

I have the 26" Brush cutter. The generator uses the same belt as the Brush cutter. I don't know how that will work with a 30" cutter.

My DR has about 1,000 hours. I did have to get a welding shop to add additional steel to the runners. I have been using the 42" mowing deck for a good part of the 1,000 hours.
